Marketing Plan

Product Selection:You are free to choose any “product” you find interesting as the subject for your plan. For example, you could choose your favorite beverage (good), spa (service), cause, idea, or politician as the subject for the plan. You could even do a marketing plan for yourself (i.e., for the purposes of finding a job after graduation).Plan content:The plan should provide a brief description of the product you have selected as well as a set of persuasive marketing strategy recommendations for the product. To these ends, the plan should include:(a) a brief description of the product(b) an analysis of the current situation into which the product is to be marketed(c) a clear statement of the one primary objective that the plan is intended to accomplish(d) a discussion of the target audience and intended positioning for the product(e) a discussion of the general marketing mix strategies that will be utilized to accomplish the stated objective(f) an implementation/action planThe “Marketing Plan” lecture provides a brief discussion of each of these aspects of the plan, and describes how the elements of successful plans fit together to tell a coherent, persuasive story about how best to market the product.Submission requirements:! The first/cover page of the plan must include a title, as well as your name and email address.! The second page of the plan must provide a brief description of the product only.! The plan itself should start at the top of the third page.! Plans can be single-spaced. However, they must be no more than 7 total pages in length, INCLUDING the cover page, product description, and any figures, tables, or references.! Plans must maintain 1” margins and utilize a 12-point font.! Any sources for facts, figures, or quotes included in the plan must be noted in the main body of the
plan and included in a reference list at the end of the plan. ! You are free to use your preferred citation style (as long as you provide enough information to allow me to track down the references, if I desire to do so).

How to submit your marketing plan:! Make sure your marketing plan is saved as a Word document with either a .doc or .docx
extension.! Click on the “Assignments” tab on the course CANVAS homepage and attach your file and then click submit. Note – DO NOT email your marketing plan to me. You MUST submit your plan through the Marketing Plan Assignment tab in CANVAS.! Prior to submission please ensure that this is your final version. Once submitted, it cannot be resubmitted. ! Please do not wait until hours before the assignment is due to submit it in case you have difficulties doing so. Not understanding how to submit the assignment is not a valid excuse for the paper being late.Grading:Plans will receive an overall grade (out of 105 points possible) based on adherence to the assignment specifications and overall persuasiveness. To the extent that a plan includes all of the required content, follows the submission requirements, and tells a coherent, persuasive story about how the product should be marketed, it should earn a high grade. To the extent that the plan is incomplete or the various sections of the plan seem disjointed (e.g., the recommended marketing mix appears to have little chance of accomplishing the stated objective or the objective does not readily follow from the analysis of the current situation), it will earn a lower grade. Poor writing quality will also adversely affect the grade earned by the plan.
