The objective of this term paper is to APPLY THE PRINCIPLES AND CONCEPTS OF STRATEGY. You are assuming the role of management consultants for this enterprise.

Select a local business (the business is: MELTON ELECTRIC, INC (Houston, TX)).

Collect information from managers in the firm and other sources to conduct the analysis. Your primary objective is to IDENTIFY ISSUES THAT THE FIRM FACES AND SOLUTION(S)

YOU MUST DEVELOP A BUSINESS PLAN THAT IF USED BY THE FIRM WILL IDEALLY RESULT IN A BETTER BUSINESS, INCREASED PROFITS, OR INCREASED MARKET SHARE.

Guidelines:
The paper has to include the following:
1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Half page summary your identified issues and solutions.
2. MISSION/GOALS: Develop them in brief and concise manner. How did the company execute their mission?
3. EXTERNAL ANALYSIS: Analysis and evaluation of major external environmental components. This includes the General Environment, Industry Analysis and Competitor Analyses. Section should end with a clear identification of key opportunities and threats.
4. INTERNAL ANALYSIS: Analysis and evaluation of the firm’s major internal resources, capabilities, and core competencies. Section should end with a clear identification of key strengths and weaknesses.
5. COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE: Briefly highlight the firm’s Competitive Advantage. What are if any, the resources or capabilities that the company can leverage relative to their competitors. This will serve as a lead into the next section.
6. STRATEGIC ALTERNATIVES AND CHOICE. This section should identify the major strategic alternatives or options that can be available to the firm. (If applicable, business-level strategy, cooperative strategy, international strategy, diversification strategy, etc.)
7. STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION: How could a firm implement your ideas? Would it be feasible? What is the anticipated payback?
8. CONCLUSION: Summarize the complete project in a page or less.
